Ambient is actively training a frontier-quality model in this category with two goals:
- Search more before speaking up. The model should check transcript history, re-read earlier session context, and verify facts on the web before interrupting with a suggestion.
- Roughly 50× cheaper at the same quality. We target around $0.30/M tokens; models of comparable quality today run closer to $15/M tokens.
Our first internal checkpoint, Murmur 1 Preview, already investigates significantly more before making a suggestion — roughly 2× more tool calls per meeting scenario than its base model, nearly 2× more agent turns, and over 3× more web searches to verify claims.
